I received an email from Kathleen just a little while ago.
Nomaan has been accepted into the trial! God has been listening to everyone's prayers.
This is an amazing opportunity for him and our family. All we can do is thank God, and thank all those involved. We also need to thank all of you out there who have prayed for him.
The next step involves a baseline screening. This is a a duplication of the last set of tests Nomi underwent, along with a series of new tests. This process takes 4 days. I will post more once I receive the details.
On the last day of the screening, it is determined whether Nomi falls into the immediate intervention group or the control group.
The intervention group is scheduled right away for the procedure and follow up visits.
The control group has to wait 12 months for treatment, but are still followed once every 3 months during the waiting period.
Inshallah, we will be in Philadelphia at the end of this month for the baseline screening.
